I don’t know how I discovered the Medicine Ball tea at Starbucks – but I did, on a day when I felt a cold approaching. You know, when that itchiness starts in your throat! Well, there was a time last year when I constantly felt sick. My daughter was convinced that it was because I was miserable at my job. Since I work from home, she’d see me stress out, and even yelling at my computer screen. She saw me empty at the end of the day…my personal cup just dry!
I started looking into natural, plant-based ways to manage my stress levels and explored the benefits of Cannabidiol and Ashwagandha.
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a chemical compound found in the cannabis sativa plant that when consumed interacts with neuroreceptors in your endocannabinoid system to help regulate your movement, mood, homeostasis and immune system.¹ Ashwagandha is a plant native to India and Southeast Asia whose root or leaves are used to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety.²

I present to you, my copycat Starbucks Medicine Ball tea…with a twist!
CBD Medicine Ball CBD
- 1 Jade Citrus Mint tea bag
- 1 Peach Tranquility tea bag
- 8 ounces of organic lemonade
- 8 ounces of water
- 1 tablespoon of Golden Goddess CBD Honey or Kalming CBD Honey
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
Heat lemonade in the microwave for about 40-50 seconds. It does not need to be boiling, just very warm. Meanwhile, boil the water in a small saucepan on the stove top. Combine the lemonade and water to your teacup or mug. Add the tablespoon of honey to the mixture and stir until dissolved. Add both tea bags and the cinnamon stick, and allow to steep for about 4 minutes. You can enjoy without removing the cinnamon stick.
