Pussy. Coochie. Vagina. Cunt. Flower. Yoni.

She goes by many names, but for those of us that call upon the ancestors, the old deities, the immeasurable and insurmountable energy around us, one thing is abundantly clear: power lies in name. The way we write it, think it, speak it, or sing it, words and names are one of the closest tangible ways we access power, as well as the integrity and intention in which we use these names that  becomes their driving force.

As a woman, it is hard to ignore that most of the names we as a society recognize for our most intimate and sacred spaces are often muddied with terms that are interchangeably considered derogatory, nasty, or just flat out unspoken. The reasoning for this is simple, but it takes a leap of faith into the realm of deprograming and reconditioning our minds to fully understand the depth of this deception: The easiest way to take away power is to take away a name. For centuries, we as women and minorities have had to fight against the systematic rebranding of the patriarchy as they seek to take our power through name.

The quickest way to strip a slave of their identity was to take their ancestral names. To this day, it is still widely accepted for women to give up their family names for those of their male counterparts. Even our connection to Goddess has been stunted through the renaming, rebranding, and whitewashing of our original creators.

Though a hard pill to swallow, to break free of this programming, we must understand that these acts are indeed intentional, meant to severe the tie between us and the power we were born with.

But there in lies the flaw to this master plan.

I like to think of myself as a scientific spiritualist. I wholeheartedly believe that energy cannot be created, nor destroyed and that is something I have always applied to my spiritual experiences. The energy of a name can never be destroyed, we must simply choose to call deeply within ourselves and remember the power of true name.

From there, we must make the conscious choice to breathe life into that name with our actions and intentions.

So if you’ve made it this far, you’re probably asking yourself what does this all have to do with the power of the Pussy? The answer to that is both simple and complex, like all innate knowledge. The Pussy holds so much power because she is an interdimensional portal. She sings the songs of our ancestors, births new life, and wielded properly, she is the eye with which we see all universal truths. She is both delicate and unbreakable, a doorway and an entrance into the most unfathomable corners of the universe. And as women, we are the guardians of this sacred vessel, born with this power of remembrance and sight within our very bodies. We are the daughters of the Priestesses, Witches, and Mystics burned for harnessing the very power that would topple systematic patriarchy as we know it.

So how do we reclaim this power that has always resided within us? How do we access our ancestral rights through the power of the Pussy? It seems simple, but like all delicate and resilient creatures, we must nourish her, protect her, and listen to her. Do this and all will be revealed in time. Whatever name you call her by, call upon her power, YOUR power and you will be unstoppable.
