When I first awakened to who I am and the world around me, I was shook. Suddenly I could feel everything so intensely. Remembering how energy felt was the highlight because it changed everything for me. Suddenly I could interact with others and the world around me more deeply. It began to make sense why I had chosen certain people in my life, why I couldn’t open up around others, and even why huge crowds made me so anxious. Everything started making sense.
The thing about remembering energy was that I could now recognize sexual energy. There is this subtle and not so subtle way of noticing sexual attraction to a person that differs greatly from feeling the energy of someone platonic. I had such joy of exploring this. My first remembrance of this I realized was the year before I had “officially” awakened. I had just gotten into a relationship with my first girlfriend. I thought maybe a month was too soon but we felt so comfortable with each other like we had already known each other for awhile.
Our first kiss was divine. Energy. Like a rush of all these amazing feelings at once. My first kiss with a woman and I was nervous because what if I did it wrong? Or what if I didn’t actually like women? Or what if she didn’t actually like me? All the what ifs in the world could not stop our connection in the present moment. And my goddess! The moment we kissed! Her lips were soft and our energies embraced. It was as if time had stopped and we were lost in each other. Looking back at first our kiss and how I felt her energy, I later recognized how we were connecting.
It was so much more than sexual attraction. We cared about each other’s well being, we could be ourselves around each other, and each touch was like magick. Our connection was definitely more than platonic and I knew it even before we kissed. I could have gotten lost in her big brown eyes forever, but instead I just held her close. Close in a way that our souls embraced. Close in a way that I noticed how she smiled from inside. Close in a way I saw her emotions through her eyes. Close in a way that I felt a longing from her heart. Close in a way that we remained connected long after we part.
Here’s the thing about energy: as it turns out, it never truly dies. It lives on in our memories, in the places we visit, in the people we meet, in the choices we make, within us, without us, and all around us. We connect energetically long before we may even meet physically. That’s why we can connect to people we’ve never even met online, why we can innately choose jobs we know we would fit right in, and how we choose literally everything whether we are aware of it or not. Energy connects us all. For some we may make these choices based on external factors, and that is often what we must do. But in a world where we are safe to just be, in a world where we can act based on our soul, it is all energy. It is a connection that goes far beyond this realm.
For some I found that we can connect with many romantically and platonically through the lens of our soul. From God’s View. We get to be on the inside looking out. Out into the universe, out into the world of which we live, out into the people we see, and back into their eyes, into their hearts, and back within. We are connected far beyond our bodies, far beyond the space and time. So when we choose to love based on soul, we are seeing From God’s View: that we are all connected.
