The body speaks a universal & unspoken language that all humans are inherently born to hear. But there is much to say about how influential our domestic & societal conditioning is at playing a huge role into how we become disconnected from being able to listen in the ways we are meant to. We’re taught to finish our plate no matter how full we already are, that when our clothes are too small that we must shrink our physical bodies to accommodate, or that when our body says it’s time to rest that it means we’re weak & must push forward regardless, that if our bodies don’t look a certain way it equates to unworthiness… Whether these narratives stem from our home environment, or from the media that we consume, it all leads to how we become untrustworthy of our connection to the intuition within our own bodies. The body becomes viewed as this separate entity & the scapegoat to our sense of control, to our shame, blame, & fears, because we’ve grown into an unlearning of the universal language that our body has to share with us that brings us home. We’ve learned to trust outward perspectives of our worthiness to live within our bodies which creates an unlearning of how constant & unwavering the natural worthiness to simply exist within a body truly is.
But where there is unlearning of the gifts we have received for simply owning a body, there can also be the growth of deeper knowledge & resurrection of what has been lost. Our body seeks to be home WITH us & work in synchronicity. Our body seeks to experience joy, nourishment, & pleasure WITH us as it sustains our existence. Our greatest compass for how to thrive most lives within this language that our body offers us, & we can come back to a place of being able to listen.
It requires making space to listen again, & to tune out from what is being brought upon us that is not truly our own. It takes following the path inward to where our body’s voice can be heard. We have to cut out the external noise, along with our own internal chatter, so that we can be still & present with our bodies & what they have to tell us. We have to make room for making conscious choices that bring our bodies back to places of nourishment, pleasure, & contentment that align with our best possible selves & what feels legitimately GOOD, FOR our bodies that we live in.
The more that we can be in a space of intimacy & consciousness with our own body’s language, the more we can stand empowered within the truth of what that knowledge provides for us. The more that this relationship deepens, the less easily we are swayed by external perceptions or the internal chatters created through conditioning. This is where healing of our body image & how it effects our worthiness is possible; by tuning back into the language we are naturally granted & can listen to, by owning a body & living in it, fully present.
Your body carries an ancient wisdom & an innate magic within it, simply by being the vessel that holds your existence. Allow yourself the gift of self compassion & devotion by connecting back to your body’s calling to be whole WITH you & heard.
