Everywhere you go, you see someone checking the label, or you’re in the store for hours reading labels, on EVERYTHING, to make the right and safest selection for you and your family. We have woken up to the harmful chemicals that are used to produce products. We care about the carbon footprint that a restaurant or company have and how they are reducing it. We care that our meat (if you still eat meat) is 100% humane and organically raised. But the one area we overlook is the feminine hygiene aisle. Yes, disposable pads and tampons can be damaging not only to your physical body, but also your spiritual body. We are learning about the dangers of chemicals, pesticides, and fragrances crossing with our sacred space physically (i.e., Cancer and reproductive issues). But what about the spiritual body?? Yes, the spiritual body, the one that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Since this movement of more conscious awareness of what we put on our body started, new varieties of “safer,” “natural” disposable menstrual products have emerged, but are they truly safer? While most do not have artificial fragrance, pesticides, herbicides, or chlorine, most supposedly, “natural pads and tampons” still have chemicals (even if they are natural occurring).
Are there consequences of disposable pads, which can be harmful spiritually?? Yes. The root chakra sits right in the groin the same place sanitary napkins sit. It is symbolized by the color red, and it is associated with blood in your body. Color is energy and energy is color. This chakra affects the genitalia and gives you a sense of security, survival, safety, and a foundation to build the other chakras on. Imagine sitting your energy in plastic and chemicals all day or even worse, sticking an infusion of chemicals into your sacred space. Your physical body affects your spiritual body, and your spiritual body affects your physical. Becoming mindful of this connection is a powerful key (in my belief) to awakening.
Your root chakra is activated right before birth and holds all childhood trauma. When healing this chakra, self-reflection, shadow work, and grounding is essential. During my journey and healing process I was doing the shadow work, but I still could not get to the root of my issues, even with organic pads. Once the switch from organic to cloth pads, things just started coming to me more freely. I was more open to explore those childhood memories and examine them in a new and more focused “adult” way. I dealt with trauma that caused me so much heartache. The growth and change in me showed me the significance of the disruptors we have in life to keep us imbalanced. The Root Chakra AKA The Period Chakra is the key to healing for us women and it is time for that healing ladies.
I am an extraterrestrial being enjoying a spiritual rebirth on earth. After years of being in the medical field, I decided to change careers. My goal is to bring my knowledge of the human body & the natural, simple, and sometimes “old fashion” things that can help heal ourselves. I am an intuitive reader, feminist, women’s advocate & herbalist.
