As we move from The Shadow Issue season into The Visionary Issue, I’m finding myself coming out of a place of deep deep seeing and clearing, and freeing myself in ways I’ve never experienced, looking ahead at: what’s next?
When you can choose from the quantum expanse of possibility….what shall you create?
We’re still going to be dripping The Shadow Issue over the week, and also bringing you up up up into The Visionary Issue…and this is how we experience life as humans as well……….we sit with ourselves and face the shit, the dark, the pain…and we choose.
If we choose to cut, clear, heal, let go, we open up space to build, grow, stretch, reach and understand new things. Our VISION expands….
This model – a simplification of the evolution of consciousness – is the basis of Akashic Trancework: we Activate, Release, and Expand…..and then start it all over again.
First we ACTIVATE new awarenesses – we SEE what we did not see before. Then we get to make that choice: to hold on or let go. Letting go is not easy. It means giving up our safety blanket and the limp that’s got us around this Earf for the last 15 years.
But when we hold on, we do not move into Release. We SUPPRESS what we don’t want to see and feel, and we do not grow. In fact, we devolve in many ways. With shame and guilt eating away from the inside.
Instead, if we choose to let go, we can alchemize or harvest what we see in the deep dark. We move into RELEASE then. We cut away what is holding us down. What keeps us small and small-minded, fear-minded and blinded by pain.
With THIS choice, we open up space! The energy we’d invested in suppression, hypervigilance, bitter narratives that ate our hope, all that fear energy is freed up to….create! Experience! Seek! Explore!
From here – and only with the choice to RELEASE – we move into EXPANSION! We grow. We evolve. Our paradigm literally opens up to reveal new worlds, gifts, insight, capabilities. We stretch another piece into the quantum, our largest, infinite Body.
And here, as inevitably as a baby coos, we will meet something new and ACTIVATE the cycle once again.
In Akashic Trancework, we named this the A.R.E Cycle, based on the understanding of Ubuntu, which illustrates (imho) the core-est truth of Life: I am because We ARE.
We are literally the cells of One Body.
And as we move through our human experience, we swim this flow: the A.R.E. Cycle – from Activation, to Release, to Expansion. Through the ARE, we become We – we move ever-wider from small-self perception into fuller awareness of our higher-self collective nature, in all its infinite and expanding scales, and ultimately encompassing All.
If we choose NOT to Release, instead to Suppress, we move from Activation to Suppression to Suffering. We do not become We, we become the ASS – the one who suffers chronically and makes everyone around them suffer for our suffering.
Because….we are literally all One Body.
This is why: only compassion makes sense to me. Only cooperation. Only collaboration.
Only integrity.
Only that which is chosen in the best interest of all beings as best as humanly possible.
Anything else is self-harm because there is nothing outside of Self.
And that is why we exist as Laughing Goddess Media and 13MOONS Magazine.
Today, as the cusp from The Shadow Issue into The Visionary Issue, and our first birthday as a magazine, I am feeling clear and clean and refreshed from facing things I never knew I could – things I never even knew existed – and I know this clarity is only the beginning. I am feeling fortified in my Vision and the Visionary being that I am, and I am feeling brave and bold and unafraid to be in my Dreamspace and to speak it all knowing it’s REAL and POSSIBLE as we all choose it: together.
For you and for us, I enVISION a year of growth and expansion beyond measure in every direction from your Ancestors to your descendants to all yall cousins and them, on through the waves that ripple out as MY BODY is YOUR BODY is OUR BODY.
I enVISION a world of cooperation and collaboration and compassion, not because it sounds pretty, but because it’s actually the most logical choice we can choose as humans. The most beneficial. The most rich with capability and possibility. The most expansive.
And, on this side of my Shadows, I’m not ashamed to be in my VISION & stay in my VISION. I hold this VISION. Even when I’m told it’s a pipe dream because I am HERE to hold this VISION for US. And I’m anchored all the way in. Fully body fuckin fuck YES!

I created 13MOONS Magazine to resurrect the sacred feminine in Stories and Art. As a Seeress who’d worked directly with Oshun, Yemaya, Oya, and other earlier Goddesses, I noticed a stark difference in these energies and those of later iterations, such as Venus and Aphrodite. It is like parts of these beings were stripped away. Whether to fit the fashion of culture or men, I’ll leave for you to decide, but this just didn’t sit right with my spirit.
