The Mother by Ishva Auset

And as I come back to pieces of myself that have always been present, I feel my hands and feet sink into the dark fertile soil upon the banks where my soul met my human body for the first time.

When I first awakened, I met The Mother.

For years I did not know her true name, only her slave name.

And for years she came to me, warm and loving, skin deeply glowing blue, with the shimmer of stars upon her flesh.

She came to me, adorned with the skin of her Mother, The Creatrix.

And in this moment I knew I was The Daughter of Stars, my Celestial, ever-living energetic form.

And then I met the Dark Mother, born from Black Earth.

She showed me a desert, once barren in ashes and rock, as the place where she first took her human form.

Some call her demon, while others call her Goddess, she is both and neither.

The Human Mother.

And as I come back to pieces of myself that have always been present, I feel my hands and feet sink into the dark fertile soil upon the banks where my soul met my human body for the first time.

I can still smell the minerals in the salted sand, feel the coolness of the moving Earth between my fingers.

It is time to go inward.

To rest.

To learn.

To heal.

To grow.

For when I emerge into the dancing ripples of the Sun, I will never be the same as I once was.
