Creating a life you’re excited to wake up to each day is, at the root, about cellular clarity and alignment.

When we learn to listen to the body and heed its guidance, we become the magnet for our best life.

This is because the body is a biofeedback system which is constantly responding to its environment to help keep us in homeostasis.

Our bodies are always talking to us!

That is because they are communication systems.

They are constantly processing, storing, and responding to information, and transferring that information to where it needs to go for further processing and integration in other parts of the bodymind.

Our bodies are like computers.

Except alive and connected to an intelligence Source much greater, larger, wider, and more expansive than are we as humans.

We are connected to Mother Earth in the same way our fingers are connected to our bodies.

We are cells of Mother Earth and she is a cell of our Solar System, and our Solar System is a cell of the galaxy, and the galaxy is a cell of a universe, and a universe is an expression of a multiverse expressing in every way possible, in every direction, in every moment, at once.

This is hard to compute for our human minds, and articulated far from adequately, because I, too, am a human sharing with you about realities that are bigger than my cell-brain can conceive.

The point is that we are connected to something bigger. We are cells of something bigger. And we are connected to this bigger thing through our body, as our body is a cell of Mother Earth which connects us to everything she is a cell within.

What this means for us as humans is that our faculties and our agency are far greater than what people typically believe, because we’re taught – at best – that our bodies are meat suits – and often that our bodies are inherently wrong, a thing to be ashamed of or to see as a source of evil temptation, a thing to control and contain. Many of us live disconnected from and/or disliking our bodies. As a Western culture, we often don’t learn the basics about how to care for the health of our bodies, and on average, it is far more likely that we know how to make our bodies look a certain way to be attractive or impressive than we know how to keep our bodies genuinely well and healthy and happy.

But our bodies are “hooked in” – so to speak – to this larger network of who we are.

We are all cells of One Body, this bigger-than-we-can-conceive-of thinking and choosing thing that many call Source, God, Goddess, Womb, the Akash, All That Is, Oneness, and many other names.

We are referring to the “totality” of all the cells, which as far as our human minds can process, appears to be infinite.

And yet, we are connected to this Oneness via our body.

The same thing that tethers us to Mother Earth is the thing that tethers us to All That Is.

This is why it’s so important to recognize that our bodies are not just dumb meat suits.

Your body is an Intelligence System that is connected to much larger Intelligence Systems, all of which you have access to through your body awareness.

It’s levels to this.

To tap into these layers of Intelligence, from the discrete body to the Earth to the Sun to his mother, Sirius, to the Milky Way and so forth, we can learn to use our minds to relax our minds and yield to this deeper, wider Intelligence that is designed and perpetually informs our physical bodies.

Simple practices and lifestyle habits can help us attune to ourselves in this way and allow us to connect with our deeper levels of Intelligence as a source of guidance and direction for how to care for ourselves body, mind, and spirit, as well as how to heal and create our best lives.

Remember, living your best life is about cellular clarity and alignment.

Our bodies are designed to guide us toward alignment. They are always communicating with us to help us find our way back.

We choose constantly, all day every day, from deciding what to eat to what we listen to and watch for entertainment. Each of these decisions has an impact on our bodies either toward or away from our alignment.

When we choose something that brings us away from cellular clarity and alignment, our bodies tell us. First it tells us in subtle ways, then it tells us in louder ways if we don’t take the hint early.

An example of a subtle communication from the body may be the feeling of being thirsty.

If this communication is not heeded, you may begin to feel tired.

If you still do not hydrate, you may develop a headache.

If you continue to stay dehydrated, you may faint or feel lightheaded.

If you continue to ignore your body’s communication, you may ultimately die of thirst.

A version of this happens for every point of moving away from homeostasis or alignment.

Our bodies are always trying to get us right.

However, since we live in a culture where we see our bodies more as sexual objects than sources of infinite wisdom, it is very common for us to suppress communications from the body if we find them uncomfortable.

For example, it is a common response to a headache, instead of hydrating first, to take an anti-inflammatory.

As an occasional occurrence, this can be pretty harmless, but if we suppress the guidance our bodies are offering us on a regular and frequent basis, we will find ourselves in states of illness and dysfunction.

Depression and anxiety are two of the most prevalent and inhibiting forms of body communication and come as a result of suppressing or not being aware of guidance from the Body Intelligence, usually over an extended period of time.

When we have developed depression or anxiety, it means that most likely, there has been long term or intense periods of living life outside of alignment.

Both expressions (anxiety and depression) also represent a build up of inhibiting hormones in the body system, which then filter all perception, responses, and interpretation of experiences. These hormonal build-ups can also be referred to as beliefs and belief systems.

We as humans are thoughts translated into hormones translated into physical form translated into a human life.

Just roll with me on this one if this concept is unfamiliar or sounds a lil wonky to you. I’ll explain in later writings. For now, let’s assume that we as humans are, in short, thoughts translated into hormones.

In this way, our beliefs about ourselves and the world, which are thought complexes, like constellations of thoughts, filter the way we see and experience everything.

We are magnetic creatures and our hormonal environment is what defines the life we magnet to us. Our beliefs, therefore, define what we draw into our lives – the people, the opportunities, the experiences, even the things we think are outside of and beyond our control.

Our bodies are in constant conversation with the elements they exist within and are a part of. Namely: nature. The Kemetians called this NTR.

NTR is an Intelligence System that encompasses and governs and informs and infuses us as humans. We are connected to this Source both internally and externally. We ourselves are an expression of NTR. And we are in constant co-creation and conversation with this Intelligence System.

We communicate with the elements of NTR on a hormonal level, with our beliefs dictating our hormonal landscape and our hormonal landscape speaking for us “out in the world” so to say.

The elements, NTR, the universe, they are all responsive to our magnetic state and we will draw expressions of these elements according to our hormonal state.

In other words, the universe delivers unto us whatever we are magnetizing via our hormonal landscape.

This is why cellular clarity is so important, and how our cellular clarity dictates the way our experience shows up for us in life.

When we are riddled with hormones that are protectors and storage for unprocessed traumatic experiences, when we stay bathing in stress hormones, and when these hormonal states translate into beliefs about ourselves and the world, we will find ourselves in a loop where we attract experiences that match our previous ones, which further solidifies belief systems that continue to attract more versions of those past experiences, even if they are not ones we want to keep experiencing.

One slice of harsh reality on this is that we can also inherit certain beliefs from our parents, and they are usually further reinforced in how our parents raise us and the conditions that shape our perception of the world.

In these cases, these belief clusters can typically be seen as core beliefs and it can feel like part of your hardwiring.

However, even deeply ingrained, inherited beliefs can be rewired with the right tools.

The trick is getting the subconscious mind – your body memory and information processing system – and your conscious mind – your critical thinking and decision-making mind – to work together.

Our bodies are meant to work in tandem with our minds, but often our bodies are thinking independently of our minds, in the background filtering perception according to our past experiences and dictating our hormonal landscape without conscious awareness.

Our conscious minds then make decisions and choose based on the hormonal landscape of the body, but may never check in with the deeper mind to understand where certain perceptions came from.

An example is when someone who believes “I will be abandoned” frequently acts out in fear and insecurity in a new romantic relationship, even when there is no obvious reason for such fear. It is like we are acting blindly on beliefs we have never questioned or brought our conscious awareness to recognize, resolve, or rewire.

On the primary layer, our experience is dictated by our hormonal landscape, and after that comes perception and then choice.

Our experiences often bring to us new opportunities to choose differently and to have a different experience. And yet, we often choose according to our previous choices and experiences. This is due to neural wiring, which we can also call habit, and also due to familiarity, and lack of awareness that we’re choosing subconsciously based on our core beliefs and hormonal landscape.

Not all experiences are perceived equally.

We could have 5 people standing in a circle and sharing a unified conversation for one hour and every individual will come away with a different version of what happened based on their own perceptional filters, which are dictated by their beliefs and hormonal landscape.

An anxious person may have primarily noticed and perceived pauses in conversation as awkward silences, where someone who is very comfortable in social situations assumed everyone was just enjoying the connection and flowing naturally in the experience.

Our self-image, our beliefs, which dictate our hormonal landscape, define the magnet we are, how we perceive and respond to our experiences, and therefore, determine the life we create for ourselves.

In the previous example, we may also guess that the one who experienced the pauses as awkward left the gathering without as many positive takeaways, having been distracted by the feeling of awkwardness and maybe even their perceived point of blame or responsibility in the awkwardness. On the other hand, the person who enjoyed the experience may have come away with lots of new connections and possibilities for professional collaboration.

If all our decisions are filtered in this way, imagine the impact over a lifetime and the different trajectory each choice takes us.

So how do we get our beliefs on our side, helping us to create a life we’re excited to get up to each day rather than dread?

We take the time to learn the language of our bodies and listen.

From there, all things are possible – all healing, all joy, all fulfillment.

Because the body Knows.

ABOUT ASTARA

I created 13MOONS Magazine to resurrect the sacred feminine in Stories and Art. As a Seeress who’d worked directly with Oshun, Yemaya, Oya, and other earlier Goddesses, I noticed a stark difference in these energies and those of later iterations, such as Venus and Aphrodite. It is like parts of these beings were stripped away. Whether to fit the fashion of culture or men, I’ll leave for you to decide, but this just didn’t sit right with my spirit. And so I dreamed of a platform which would amplify the real voice of the feminine – Stories and Art created by actual women from our perspective, without apology. And here we are.

I am called Astara, a name I received during meditation, meaning Little Sirius. I am here to draw down the energy of Ast, also known as Auset, Isis, and the latest: Mother Mary, truly just a hint of the Original anymore. I am here to Remember and to help Remind us of who we are as women, who we are beneath patriarchal whitewashing and power politics as religion. I am here to Remind us of the wisdom we hold within each of our cells which we have mistakenly (and blasphemously) called our meat suit. I am a Multidimensional Body Awareness Coach offering tools I’ve channeled from my own body to help you connect with yours. Reach out anytime if you’d like to hear more.
